LOVE STORY | Nithya and Cameron

Nithya is from the Mechanicsburg area and Cameron is from the Cherry Hill, New Jersey area. They met on their first day of Dental School at Temple University. A few run-ins throughout the semester culminated in some occasional flirting. One night, while going out to celebrate the end of exams, Nithya with the help of some “liquid courage”, invited Cam to her birthday celebration the following day. Not typically being so bold, Nithya was horrified and tried to give Cam a few outs the following day. Despite this, that afternoon “Cam had shown up with the biggest smile, warmest happy birthday hug and had me blushing all day long.”

From there they constantly talked, rode the subway home from school together and eventually went on their first date to a 76ers game. Shortly after graduation, they came back to the city where they had met for a fun day doing all the things they never got to do in Philly. They brunched, took a helicopter ride over Center City, and strolled through Independence Park ending in a surprise proposal that included their families hiding with celebratory champagne.

Goal: elegant invitations that highlight their Indian and American portions of their day

They are planning a dual ceremony wedding to celebrate their marriage as well as their cultures. They knew that welcoming guests to the Desmond Malvern was convenient for the hotel but they were sold when they saw the garden room and beautiful windows. In addition to the rituals of their Indian ceremony they will host a traditional Indian lunch reception. As guests continue to enjoy their afternoon, Nithya and Cam will make their way to the Downingtown Country Club for an outdoor ceremony. The waterfalls and landscape of the golf course felt like a perfect place to host their large event, and they said the food is insane.
