Elizabeth + Dave at Historic Shady Lane

Assignment —
Vintage, Industrial
Palette —
Green, Dusty Blues, Copper
objectives —
Simple, Elegant, Juniper

Elizabeth and Dave put a lot of trust in us to create an overall branded experience for their guests. They love gin and tonic and wanted to bring that as a focal point of their day without being too literal. We were drawn to the shape and the colors of the juniper leaves and berries that help to distill gin. The blues from the berries would correspond with the bridesmaid dresses and the greens and the shape would compliment all the greenery for the day. They allowed us to design custom watercolor table numbers with various gin bottles and we created a poster size seating chart that could be displayed in their home for years to come showcasing each of the fourteen gin bottles of their choosing. There were so many little signage moments throughout the whole day including the leather green jacket we hand lettered for Elizabeth and she wore on her Italian honeymoon. Our favorite part was that Dave actually handmade and welded all of these copper and wood table number/menu stands. It was the perfect way to bring the industrial to the wedding assignment.
